Junior League Rules

JUNIOR LEAGUE  RULES

  1. All Greenhills Archer junior members affiliated through Archery Ireland are eligible to compete. Archers must register with the league organizers. This league is only open to Greenhills Archer Members for 2016 with the aim to expand in 2017.
  2. To be eligible to compete, archers must be under the age of 20 on or before the end of the year of their 20th birthday, to be classed as a Junior Archer.
  3. Archers must wear suitable clothing. Under normal FITA rules, archers would not be allowed to wear jeans. For our league, this will be a more relaxed competition and we will not be fully enforcing this rule.
  4. 30 arrows to be shot over 5 ends, 6 arrows an end + 6 arrows of sighters at 18 meters.
  5. Faces:
    1. A 60 cm face, 10 zone scoring 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1.
    2. A 40 cm face, 10 zone scoring 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1.
    3. 40cm 3 Spot face, 10 zone scoring 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1.
  6. There will be a 4-minute time limit on shooting your 6 arrows.
  7. All equipment must be in perfect working condition.
  8. We will be using the AB CD shooting line system.
  9. The league will be shot over 9 months. The archer can shoot all 9 months, but only the top 5 five highest scores for each archer will be taken into account.
  10. All Juniors taking part in the league will be sent a text the week before.
  11. All scores must be completed on the day and signed by the archers or parent/guardian who witnessed the scores.
    1. Archers competing are not allowed fill out their own scores.
    2. Scores must be handed to a league organizer to be submitted and recorded.
    3. If the scores have not been submitted to a league organizer, these scores will be null and void
  12. It is the responsibility of the parent and archer to check the leader board and remain current on the standings of the league.
  13. Conditions of shooting shall be covered by the FITA Rules of shooting at all times.
  14. Entry to the league is on the understanding that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these rules.
