Range Etiquette

- The Club bowstand is for Club bows only and must not be used by members for their own equipment.
- Target butts which are set aside for the beginner’s courses may not be shot by anyone other than beginners and their coaches.
- Anyone who is not shooting, coaching or otherwise conducting official club business must remain behind the equipment line at all times when shooting is taking place.
- Congregating in the changing rooms is not permitted. The changing rooms are to be used solely for the assembly, dismantling and storage of equipment during club hours.
- Members of twelve (12) years and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. The membership forms of all minors must be signed by a parent or guardian in the presence of a Committee member.
- All members shall be expected to make a fair contribution to the workload of the Club.
- No more than 6 arrows should be shot per end, this is to allow the line to move quickly and allow archers waiting to shoot.
- If you cannot consistently hit the target, you MUST move to a shorter unless accompanied by coach.
- When you are finished, step back from the line so that others can see that you are finished.
- If you cannot find your arrow within a reasonable time, please return to the waiting line so as not to hold up other archers.
- Never nock, draw, or release an arrow when someone is downrange.
- Remain quiet to allow others to concentrate on their shooting. Do not swear.
- Beware of your surroundings when you pull arrows. There may be other archers behind you!
- Always be careful of others’ equipment, watch where you walk, be careful when removing your bow from the bow-rack, and never touch another archers’ equipment without permission
